Let's Win Pancreatic Cancer

Matt's Run for Pancreatic Cancer
Matthew Baluyut / New York City Marathon 2025

I am running to bring awareness and hope in the fight against pancreatic cancer. I run in honor of my Dad, who faced this disease with strength and is now healthy. With each step, I stand for survivors, support those still fighting, and honor the loved ones we’ve lost, working toward a future without pancreatic cancer.

About Matt's Run for Pancreatic Cancer
But this run is also for my Mom, who stood as his unwavering pillar throughout the journey. As his partner and caregiver, she showed up every single day: emotionally, physically, and in all the quiet, unseen ways that held everything together. Her strength, compassion, and love were just as much a part of his healing as any treatment.
Together, their journey is a reminder that cancer impacts the whole family, and that hope, love, and determination can carry us through the hardest battles. With each step I take, I honor both of them: my Dad for his fight, and my Mom for her steadfast devotion. This run is for them, for those still fighting, for the caregivers who give their all, and for the families who walk this path with love and courage.
