About Caryn Runs the NYC Marathon!

Why am I running the NYC marathon this year? I have always been a goal oriented person and strive to be the best possible version of myself. I will turn 50 (50??!!) in October and what better way to celebrate this milestone than to undertake this huge and amazing feat. After all, 6 years ago I myself was diagnosed with breast cancer and was unsure of my future. With the unbelievable care of my many doctors I survived, better yet, thrived following my surgeries and treatment. I celebrate life to the fullest each day, as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and pediatric dentist. And my mission is to raise money to help others with this dreadful disease so that they can thrive as well. Pushing myself in this physical endeavor, being present for the training and the actual run as well as the fundraising will fill my heart and soul in such a tremendous way and I cannot wait to call myself a marathon finisher!
